Mississippi State was able to get their first commit from Texas since Jalen Mayden in the 2018 class. Daniel Greek, 3* quarterback from Argyle, Tx committed to the Bulldogs today over offers from Duke, Georgia Tech, and Colorado State.

Greek has been very successful as the signal caller at Liberty Christian High School as a starter for two seasons he has thrown for 4,100 yards with 37 touchdowns and 19 interceptions. Greek joined wide receiver Brandon Buckhaulter in becoming the second commitment for the 2021 during his official visit this week.

Mike Leach and his staff have put an emphasis on recruiting talent in the lone star state and that appears to be playing early dividends. Mike Leach also hired former Texas recruiting coordinator Jason Washington to help coach safeties. Washington was named 247 Sports recruiter of the year in the Big 12 during the 2018 season, so the connections the staff will have in Texas will be huge.

The Bulldogs will now have some decisions to make with three more high rated quarterbacks on their radar in 4* Ty Keyes, 4* Sawyer Robertson, 3* Luke Altmyer, as this is expected to be a two QB class with attrition expected in the coming months.
