We detailed the top targets at quarterbacks for Mike Leach and his staff last week, this week we are moving to wide receiver. The state of Mississippi has a star studded lineup at wide receiver in 2021 and many of these guys will be on the staffs radar for the upcoming recruiting season.
4* Isaiah Brevard (WR)
The top player in the 2021 class for the state of Mississippi in Isaiah Brevard will be at the top of the list for a ton of programs next fall. Brevard, who is teammates of another top target for the 2020 class of Kahlil Benson will be a top priority for Mike Leach. Brevard, who has offers from Oregon, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Arkansas, and Duke, is rated as the 10th best receiver in the country. Brevard, who is 6-4 200 lbs and runs a 4.68 40 is possibly the best receiver the state has seen since the likes of A.J. Brown and D.K. Metcalf. For now Mississippi State is heavily in play for the 4* prospect from Southaven.
4* Antonio Harmon (WR)
Former Mississippi State commit, who has received offers from Ole Miss, Georgia, Oregon and Mississippi State, will be another top instate target. Harmon is rated as the 3rd best player in the state and 23rd overall at wide receiver. Antonio measures in at 6-3/200 lbs and him and Brevard would be extremely hard to contain for any secondary. It’s still up in the air where Harmon stands since his decomittment, but it appears this will be an Ole Miss and Mississippi State battle.
4* Dominic Lovett (WR)
Moving to an out of state prospect, Dominic Lovett is rated as the 8th best player in the state of Illinois and the 51st best wide receiver in the country. Lovett is 5-10 175 and runs a 4.5 40. He also has offers from Georgia, Illinois, Iowa State, and Louisville.
Mississippi State hoping for a package deal also offered Lovett’s teammate 3* WR Keontez Lewis also of East St. Louis High School. Lewis is 6-2 180 and has offers from Illinois, Iowa State, Kentucky, Iowa, and Minnesota.
