Joe Judge has emerged as one of the top candidates for the Mississippi State job, along with the New York Giants head coaching gig. Judge has now interviewed with both the Giants and the Bulldogs and appears to be putting together a potential staff for if he made the move back to Starkville. The staff would be very important as Judge has never been a coordinator or head coach before.
The rumors have run wild that Will Hall would join Joe Judge in Starkville. Hall has super Mississippi connections and is the son of Mississippi high school football coaching legend Bobby Hall. Will Hall was a quarterback in college and quickly progressed to coaching where he became a QB coach at Presbyterian, after a short stint there he would move to Henderson St. for a season, and then to Southwest Baptist and Arkansas-Monticello to be OC. He was OC at West Alabama before getting promoted to head coach in 2011. After a two year stent at West Alabama, Hall accepted the head job at West Georgia, where he also stayed for two seasons before becoming OC at Louisiana. He then went to Memphis for one season to coach TE’s and be the Associate Head Coach before settling back to where he is currently at Tulane. Hall would join the Judge staff almost certainly as an OC.

Tosh Lupoi is another name that has been mentioned that would be joining the Judge staff in Starkville. Lupoi has been regarded as a fantastic recruiter in his time at Alabama and would really know the area well for recruiting purposes. Tosh played at Cal, and was hired as DL coach shortly after his stint playing with the Golden Bears. He was then hired as Washington’s DL coach before getting by Alabama as a defensive analyst, he would then get promoted multiple times all the way up to Defensive Coordinator for the Crimson Tide in 2018. He then joined the Cleveland Browns this season as DL coach.

Mississippi State fans have clamored all season about hiring a new strength and condition coach and luckily for Mississippi State fans it seems like Aaron Feld could be making a return to Starkville. Judge reportedly wants Feld as his Strength and Conditioning coach, but it would take a ton of cash to pry him away from Oregon to come back to his alma mater. Feld played at Mississippi State during his college career, after his career he was a strength coach at UAB, Volunteer Strength Coach at Alabama, Head Strength Coach at North Alabama, Assistant Strength Coach at Georgia and now Strength and Condition Coordinator at Oregon.
