Mississippi State got just what they need tonight in Athens, as they defeated Georgia 3-0. Brooke McKee started the scoring off early, as she scored in the 15th minute to put the bulldogs up 1-0. She would then wait until the second half to get her second goal of the game, as she scored in the 56th minute on a penalty kick to put the Bulldogs up 2-0. Less than a minute later Makayla Waldner would finish the scoring for the day, and put Mississippi State back in the win column with a 3-0 victory over Georgia.
The Soccer Bulldogs have been searching for a win, as their last win came almost a month ago against Missouri, so beating Georgia seemed to be just what the doctor ordered.
The win brings Mississippi State to 8-4-3 on the season and 2-4-2 in SEC play. The Bulldogs will try to build on their win over Georgia, as they take on Ole Miss on Sunday in Starkville.
