Keytaon Thompson’s former teammate from Landry-Walker High School in New Orleans released his top 7 schools today and it featured Mississippi State. Devonta Jason, who is currently committed to Kansas, is listed as the 22nd-best wide receiver in the country, as well as the 5th best player in Louisiana according to 247 Sports.

 

The Bulldogs are very thin at the wide receiver position but currently have commitments from Malik Heath (4*), Johnquarise Patterson (3*), Nero Nelson (3*), and Cameron Gardner (3*) for the 2018 class. However, Mississippi State’s top remaining targets include Jason and Stephen Guidry, who is the #1 rated JUCO wide receiver by 247 Sports.

Devonta Jason also listed Kansas, LSU, Miami, Ole Miss, West Virginia and Tennessee in his top selections. Jason is currently committed to Kansas but has said he plans on making the trip to Starkville for the LSU game in a couple weeks.
