Bulldog Bash will have a new location this year, and a new headliner, DNCE. The Mississippi State Music Makers announced today on Twitter that they would be headlining the annual concert located in Starkville.
The city of Starkville fought for this move for years so it would be more than just students attending the huge event, and to increase the economic development in the downtown area. Bulldog Bash usually draws around 35,000-40,000 listeners per year.
This year’s event will begin September 15th, which will be the start of a huge weekend for Mississippi State and the Starkville area with the football team playing against LSU.
DNCE is a band that was founded in 2015 and based in Los Angeles, California. The most famous member of DNCE is Nick Jonas, who was a member of the famous family collective of the Jonas Brothers, who were at their peak over a decade ago. DNCE’s most popular work “Cake by the Ocean”, reached #9 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Our coverage of this year’s concert will be extensive and we plan on releasing the HAILSTATE TAKEOVER’s Guide to Bulldog Bash after the festival has concluded.
