Mississippi State’s great week of recruiting continued as Mississippi State received a verbal commitment from Ladarrius Bishop. Ladarrius Bishop is a 3* cornerback from Ashdown, Arkansas, and is listed as the fifth highest rated player in the state of Arkansas. Bishop chose Mississippi State over offers from Oklahoma State, Illinois, and Arkansas.
Ladarrius is expected to be able to come into Starkville and contribute rather quickly due to the lack of cornerback depth on the roster, and future rosters. Mississippi State currently has seven cornerbacks on the 2017 roster, as well as having one commitment at the position in the 2018 class, Esaias Frudge. Bishop ran a verified 40 time of 4.59, and is considered a great athlete by coaches in the Arkansas area.
Mississippi State has already made huge gains in recruiting this month as the 2018 class’ ranking has gone up to 23rd in the country by 247 Sports, and more good news is expected when Big Dog Camp rolls around.
