La’damian Webb, 3* running back from Opelika, Alabama has committed to Mississippi State. Webb chose the bulldogs over offers from Ole Miss, Iowa State and Louisville. La’damian posted a great season in 2016, rushing for 3242 yards and 47 touchdowns. Yes, he put up those crazy numbers during his junior season at Beauregard High School, and was even named Mr. Football in Alabama for the 2016 season.
So, why isn’t every school in the country on a player that put up 3,200 yards his junior season? It could be because he’s only 5’9 and 190 pounds. The fact that he is “too small” to fit into Alabama’s system is probably a big reason Saban and company have not extended an offer. For Auburn, who is losing a player who lives just minutes away from their campus, the lack of an offer seems almost ludacris. La’damian is an all around playmaker, who is rated as the 33rd best running back in the nation and 24th best player in Alabama for the 2018 class.
